Tokyo

Tokyo Disneyland / DisneySea

It’s two of the world’s busiest theme parks. Disneyland offers classic characters and attractions more suited for younger children. DisneySea provides unique, adventurous themes that are geared for older kids and adults. Entry is free for kids ages 3 and under.
We love Beauty & the Beast and Monsters Inc the most at Disneyland. Our top 3 at DisneySea are Frozen Journey, Pan’s Never Land, and Center of the Earth.
Disneyland can be easily done in 1 day, but DisneySea is best with 2 days. They offer free timed standby passes or paid Disney Premier Access (DPA). They are available via the Tokyo Disney app once you scan your ticket to enter the park. If you only have one day, be sure to line up early to try to beat the crowds. Standby and DPAs can sell out quickly on busy days. Lastly, don’t miss out on watching their shows even if they are in Japanese.

Find more information about attractions on their Official Site. The Cheapest Tickets change constantly but as of May 2025, KKDay has tickets for only $57.58 USD. We are not sure of any additional checkout fees since we haven’t purchased with KKDay in the past. Our Affiliate tickets are $59.99 USD for adults via Klook, which we use ourselves.

TeamLab Borderless Tokyo

Delight the entire family with its interactive digital art installations that respond to touch and movement. Enjoy the freedom to explore glowing rooms, shifting lights, and immersive experiences that blend play and creativity in a way that feels magical and unforgettable.
This could be overstimulating for some kids so keep an eye on them throughout your visit. Don’t be scared to pass this magical place up if you think this will overstimulate your kids. Kidzania is just down the street, and they even have English days available.

Visit their Official Site for more information about their works. The Cheapest Tickets as of May 2025 are via Thrillophilia at $24.14 USD. We haven’t purchased with KKDay before but never heard anything bad. Our Affiliate tickets start at $28.09 USD, dependent on date via Klook which we mostly use. We like the KlookCash (point system) with every purchase as well as bonuses for uploading reviews and pictures after our visits.

Tokyo Skytree

This will capture your kids’ imaginations with its towering height, glass-floor observation decks, and panoramic city views stretching to Mount Fuji on clear days. The adjacent Solamachi shopping complex includes family-friendly dining and an aquarium, making it a fun and easy half-day outing. Children ages 6 and under enter for free.

Use their Official Site to check their daily operating hours. As of May 2025, the Cheapest Tickets are $9 USD via TripXOXO, which we are unfamiliar with. Our Affiliate tickets start at $14.75 USD for the Tembo Deck (350m) via Klook. The Tembo and Galleria (450m) combo tickets start at $21.80 USD.
