Family Fun Things to Do with Kids

Hong Kong Disneyland
Disney’s smallest park is incredibly manageable and was perfect for our entire family. Even though it’s compact, it’s packed with classic Disney magic, upgraded lands, and a few standout attractions you won’t find anywhere else. Children under 3 enter for free, which is always an incentive to not wait until the kids are older.
One of the biggest advantages of visiting a smaller Disney park is how easy it is to experience everything in a single day. We used the Early Entry Pass, and it made a huge difference. Getting in before the crowds allowed us to ride our must-dos with almost no wait and secure great spots for shows and parades later in the day. If you’re planning a one-day visit with kids, this add-on is worth every bit. It gave us room to enjoy the park at a relaxed, kid-friendly pace.
Our top highlights included Mystic Manor, a fan favorite that blends whimsical storytelling with cutting-edge effects. Fun for younger kids and genuinely impressive for adults. Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars delivered just the right level of excitement without being too intense, and Frozen Ever After (inside the beautifully themed World of Frozen) was a big hit with families thanks to its music, visuals, and unique boat ride style. Don’t miss the Festival of the Lion King show, which is packed with energy, stunts, and vibrant performances that kept us at the edge of our seats.
To make the most of your visit, use the Early Entry Pass, arrive early, and map out your top priorities in the Hong Kong Disneyland app. With smart planning, this park delivers a full (and surprisingly relaxed) day of Disney magic, making it an excellent experience for all.

Symphony of Lights Cruise
A magical center view to experience Hong Kong’s skyline. It’s a peaceful escape from the busy streets, giving families front-row views of Victoria Harbor as the city comes alive with color. Our kids loved the free drinks and snacks on board, the front deck boat seats, and the excitement of watching buildings light up in sync with the music.
The show begins at 8:00 p.m. and runs for about 10–15 minutes. Plan to board early if you want first pick of seats.
Although you can catch the lights from any free area along the harbor, the Symphony of Lights Cruise ensures you experience all sides of the skyline. A memorable one-of-a-kind activity offering beauty, atmosphere, and a moment of stillness the whole family can enjoy together.
Visit their government Official Site for more information. There are so many options to acquire tickets. They are constantly changing from many different websites. It is best to search the best fitting cruise for your close to your actual dates of travel. We linked a common boat cruise for tickets below. Be sure to search around for different boats to your liking as well as pick-up and drop-off times and location. Price options range from $10 to low $100s.

Ocean Park Hong Kong
An instant spark of excitement with a mix of marine life encounters, gentle rides, and big-scenery cable car views over the South China Sea. Aquariums filled with colorful fish, watch playful sea lions, and explore fun-themed zones that balance education and adventure perfectly for younger travelers.
A clear layout with easy-to-navigate sections, but be ready for some hills. Comfortable shoes and a stroller-friendly route go a long way. The park’s blend of indoor exhibits and shaded outdoor areas makes it manageable on hotter days, and there are plenty of quick dining stops nearby when kids need a recharge.
Ocean Park is an easy half- or full-day activity, offering a mix of animals, rides, and memorable moments for the whole family. Don’t forget to visit the Pandas.
Use their Official Site to check their daily operating hours. As of Nov 2025, the Cheapest Tickets are $58.19 USD via our affiliate, Klook.
